On Saturday we picked up our car and drove up the coast
to Salerno. It is a beautiful city on the Mediterranean with mountains behind. It is a real hidden gem. There are many old
and beautiful buildings, with a wide pedestrian walkway leading into the old
town. There is also an incredible waterfront promenade that was packed today
with families strolling in sunny, 16 degree weather. There are also many
excellent restaurants located around the city, so we continue to enjoy many
culinary experiences. On Monday we are off to San Marino, the last remaining principality in Italy. We will night over in Pescara on the way.
