We arrived in Catania safely after a very long journey of 26 hours (Toronto to NY to Berlin to Rome to Catania). However, all the flights went smoothly and our luggage made it as well. We were concerned that it would get lost with all the flight changes we had to make. Temperature here is moderate at 15 degrees C, but its forecast to warm up next week. Our apartment is great. It’s much bigger than we expected with lots of unique features. We rented Flat12 through the Self Catering in Sicily web site (http://www.selfcateringsicily.com/). Our landlord, Massimiliano Strano lives upstairs and has been a great help in supporting us. He speaks very good English and his girlfriend Sara is from England. Here are some pictures.
